{happy henry on his daily walk around the complex}

as of today, i have lived back on the right coast for six whole months. i’ll be honest: it was a bit of an adjustment, and there were times that i second guessed my somewhat spontaneous decision to move back… but, now that i’m settled, i couldn’t be happier to be back home… it’s not exactly the way i had pictured it. it’s different, but in a great way. i’ve reconnected with my oldest and most meaningful friends in a way that i am so thankful for… and i get to see and experience my favorite places from what seems like a lifetime ago… all in all, i’m so happy to be here. and after six months, i can say that i’m proud of myself for making a worthwhile {and frankly, gutsy, move}. here are a few pics of life on the east-side:

{my go-to spot for wine/soda/vodka}

{henry’s report card from his first day at camp}

{i snapped this pic & sent to my sisters a few months back… growing up the first signs of these flowers meant spring was here}

{stew leonard’s was, and still is, one of my favorite grocery stores around- it still makes me feel like a little kid. talking cow? amazing fro-yo cones? yes please.}

{oh, how i missed my rangers… and a playoff game? not half bad}

{i’ve officially swapped my la mag for ny. thanks julie!}

{fountain-sniffer}

{cycling at equinox has become a regular event… to be honest it’s probably due to the post workout cold-eucalyptus towel & steam}

{oh, and my daily fountain diet coke from the gas station around the corner. this might seem weird but its literally the best diet coke. ever}

see: greenwich: alpen pantry.

when i started mv sees over a year ago, i designated fridays for my “see:sb” posts: posts dedicated to local restaurants/bars/activities. it has taken me some time to do the same on this coast… and as i now live in greenwich, which is oh-so-close to nyc, i will now dedicate friday posts to both see:greenwich and see:nyc. today i start with my hometown- the beautiful greenwich, connecticut, and our favorite sandwich spot alpen pantry.  living on the west coast it was one of a handful of places that we religiously craved… and thus now, i naturally frequent. the black bread is delicious, the chip assortment is endless and if you’re into vintage candy you’ll be in heaven. i’ve been hooked on the stilton since the age of 12. a glimpse at the beauty below:
