it seems as though recently, more often then not, i am finding style inspiration in my mother’s closet… for some time i went years without wanting to copy her wardrobe’s sensibility {there was a day when she actually purchased crocs}, but in the past few years she’s really given me a run for my money in the clothing department- her gold bangles, chanel bags, ballet flats, leather jackets & chunky watches make me drool daily… and her recent delivery from anouk ranks as one of my favorite fashion-inspirations. yesterday she received 2 pairs of buttery leather boots, just in time for the chilly fall weather. i couldn’t resist following suit, snatching up my very own pair of the perfect black boot, the jenny. here are a few of my other picks from the uber stylish line…
ready boots?
festive pretzels
with just one week left to celebrate one of my favorite holidays, i’ve been trying to squeeze in as many halloween-themed activities as possible. today i decided to whip up an easy-as-pie {trick or} treat: chocolate dipped pretzels. i swear this took me less than 10 minutes, and the result is not only tasty but also makes for a festive decoration. all you have to do is melt chocolate {i chose white & milk}, dip pretzels and then cover in sprinkles of your choice… i’m sure these will make another appearance come christmas…
for the boys
last night i curled up in bed with sookie, henry & the latest episode of dexter with the intention of composing a collage of my latest fashion obsessions {leather, jewel tones, givenchy bags etc.} however, i found myself constantly drifting towards the latest trends in menswear… and while this is a departure from my typical posts, i found it only appropriate to dedicate today’s to some of my favorite pieces for the boys this season… why should us girls have all the fun?

apartment therapy
{a new headboard+vintage-inspired pink mirrors add depth to my once dull bedroom}
i took some time this past week to do a little fall cleaning & sprucing up of the apartment- adding new accents to the guest room and a few empty nooks and crannies. it seems like decorating is an ongoing projects, and with every season a little touch-up is just what the doctor ordered… leaving the atmosphere fresh, clean & continuously inspiring…
